I am a super happy girl.  SUPER happy.  Why, you ask? Fine.  I will tell you.  I have learned about the magic that is Smart & Final.  Do you have a Smart & Final near you?  Have you ever been in? I went to the location that is, literally, a little more than a mile from my apartment for the first time Friday evening.  Now, of course, I am scratching my head wondering why in the world I had never gone in before.  I always get the ads and I always tell myself I will go in and shop and I never do! No particular reason why but now that I have gone in, I will be going in more often! Seriously!!!

I literally found a gold mine.  They have EVERYTHING from meat to produce.  The best part is that they carry warehouse sized items without a membership and this saves you money and makes shopping less daunting for you.  As you know, I have a child with physical and cognitive disabilities. I want to get in and out of the store.  That's it.  I also don't want to go all the time so I tend to buy in bulk.  It makes my life easier and Smart & Final has everything I need! I even picked up a few of the Libman Wonder Mop replacement heads that I haven't been able to find near me (weird!).  I also love the small parking lot of my location. Literally- in and out! It was GREAT! No.  Not great but GLORIOUS!!!   #ChooseSmart!

Love this store!

As you can tell, I am a new fan!  They have a great website where you find more recipes on the Smart & Final Social Circular.  Click here to visit!

My daughter and I love food.  We love Asian, Caribbean, Italian, European, African, etc. etc. etc. foods.  I decided that we would make something that fuses our love of the various cuisines and made a Hawaiian-Style Teriyaki Chicken Noodle Bowl.  It came out so good! It's definitely family friendly and very yummy!

I made the recipe using La Romanella products that I picked up!

For the Chicken:

1.  Marinade chicken in teriyaki for a few hours or overnight.

2. Grill* chicken until thoroughly cooked.

*Note: You can use any cut of chicken you prefer.  You can even bake your chicken or cook in your slow cooker!

1. Cook as directed on the package.

For the vegetable Sauce:

Blend together the soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, reserved pineapple juice, ginger*, garlic and corn starch. And set aside.

*Notes: You can use frozen (I did!) or ground ginger.

For the Vegetables:

1.  Heat olive oil in the wok.  Once heated, add your bell peppers, carrots and cabbage and stir fry until thoroughly cooked and add in the pineapple chunks and the vegetable sauce until sauce boils.

2.  Once the sauce begins to bubble, turn the heat off and remove your wok (or large skillet) from the heat.

Now the magic!

Grab your bowl, put in your desired amount of noodles, top veggies, chicken and your garnish of choosing and enjoy!

I do want to make an addendum: You can make your own teriyaki sauce or use bottled!

If you make it, let me know! I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
