Hump Day Music: Let's Go To The Mall

Confession.  I totally forgot it was Wednesday until I was talking to an insurance representative in Illinois and she was talking about her camel on her desk (I seriously thought she was talking about a candle and then it clicked) and I was a bit slow on the uptake.  However, a coworker and I were chit-chatting about #CockInASock (it's to raise awareness about testicular cancer.  Whatever works! They have raised some cash) and as I was drooling scrolling through Instagram, I found this

Which has led to this week's Hump Day Music! Teenage Mall Music!

How to Make Time For Yourself

Source

As adults, we tend to forget to make time for ourselves.  We over-extend ourselves whether it's for our children, work, friends, family, blogs, etc. but how much time do we really make for ourselves?  I am not sure I am one to give tips in this regard as I am not sure I really make enough time for myself but I am trying to do more.

Top Five Tearjerker Movies

There are movies that just... tug at your heartstrings and make you look around and see if somebody cut onions *sniff*.  *grumbles* stupid onions make my eyes watery.  Saturday I was attempting to reorganize my DVD and Blu-Ray collection and came across some movies that instantly created that all too familiar tug and I became a bit sentimental.  I want to share with you my top five tearjerker movies!

Gotta Cut Loose. Footloose.

If you have not yet seen this video of Kevin Bacon's appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, you need to.  Oh my.  It's below :)

Sunday Test

Happy Sunday!

Hump Day Music: Michael McDonald

Woot! Ladies and Gents it is Wednesday! Yessssssssssss! We're half way to Friday! Time to shake your groove thang!

This week I am featuring the ever talented Michael McDonald.  He actually popped up in my mind as I was driving home the other day and saw a billboard stating he was going to be performing at one of the casinos here in Scottsdale (Phoenix suburb) on the Indian Reservation.  First thing that popped into my head? The Forty Year Old Virgin.

Vietnamese BBQ Pork + A Tale of a Lost Battery Charger

On Friday, I wrote about an amazing experience with a wonderful spice shop I found online (You should totally read about it here.  I went fangirl status).   I had this amazing recipe dreamed up to make Vietnamese BBQ Pork using the Vietnamese Spicy BBQ seasoning I had picked up and then tragedy struck.

Spices? I Think It's a Yes!

How many times have we wasted many hours pinning outfits we will never own, homes we will never live in, rooms we will never decorate, food we won't make and crafts that will never happen? Lots of hours.  At least for me!  I love Pinterest for the simple fact that it gives me ideas and it's just a digital dream book!

There are so many things I desire to make and the only way I will ever get through my thousands upon thousands of pins is to become independently wealthy and no longer work.  *sighs* The dream.  I found this pin:

Hump Day Music featuring Slow Jams

Whew! It's Wednesday and I am so happy to be midway to the weekend.  Overall, this week hasn't been terrible and is moving quite fast.  I have really been reevaluating my short term and long term goals.  These goals are not only my professional but personal goals, too.  I tend to over-extend myself and I have to prioritize where I want path to go.  I am at a crossroads and I know that the universe will lead me in the right direction!

Big Fun Field Day Excitement!

Happy Friday!!! Woot! It's here and I am baaaack! I decided to take a few days off from blogging.  Work has been insanely busy and Emma's had a lot going on.  However, her school's Big Fun Field Day was on Wednesday and we had a blast! Her teachers are so creative! This year, they were Minions.  The kids were the yellow "good" Minions and her teachers were the evil purple Minions.  They looked absolutely adorable!

Top Five Tearjerker Movies

Over the weekend I spent a bit of time going through my stacks of DVDs and trying to get some sense of organization and there were a few that brought back a flood of memories and I decided to veg out and watch them again.  These movies, in no particular order, always move me to tears.

Limiting myself to only FIVE films is very, very difficult.  As soon as I hit publish, I will facepalm and want to add another and another.  It's a never ending cycle.
