Raise your hand if you are determined to have healthier habits in 2016
I was pretty excited when I received the BabbleBoxx because it was bursting with products I already buy or I would buy. The box's focus is on wellness and it couldn't have arrived at a better time with me ringing in 2016 with a gnarly flu bug.
I nearly squealed when I pulled out the boxes of Stash tea. I buy a lot of their tea especially their chai and green tea. Seriously, I should show you my tea collection, haha. The Gold Cup Chai and Lavender Tulsi were brand new to me and oh my goodness, they're really good. I love how powerful turmeric is and the Gold Cup Chai is delicious. It's sweet and spicy but definitely milder than most other chai teas.
I have NEVER tried lavender tea before and I have never heard of tulsi prior to trying the Lavender Tulsi herbal tea. The aroma was ... calming (of course, it is lavender!). Tulsi is supposed to be healing for the mind, body and spirit and with the lavender- it's a tea that creates a feeling of serenity and calm. I am obsessed with this tea now! Okay. I am LOVE with it. It's caffeine free so I have been drinking it at night as a way to unwind and relax.
I absolutely love Cold-Eeze products. I use them every time I start feeling a cold coming. I can't say whether or not it truly knocks out the cold faster but CAN tell you, I feel better. I get relief and that's important. The Cold & Flu remedy couldn't have come at a better time. It literally arrived while I was home sick with the flu. I was already in the full throws of the illness but the congestion and cough relief was badly needed. It tastes great, too.
Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Towelettes.
I have been using Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel for YEARS. It has been my go to for toning and refreshing my skin. I use it after I wash my face at night, just before moisturizing and again in the AM just before moisturizer. My skin always feels so fresh. I love that they now have single towelettes available! This is incredibly convenient and I can throw a few in my purse to have on hand- especially in the summer when I don't wear makeup (it's too hot). I also use the towelettes on Tween daughter's face and it helps keep her face clean. Love them!
Birch Benders Gluten- Free Pancake Mix
Although we don't have any gluten sensitivities or follow any gluten free based diet, I was pretty interested in trying this pancake mix from Birch Benders. We love pancakes and frankly, we are game to try out a new mix. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't sure how it would taste or what the texture would be like without the gluten and it was really pretty good. It is made with Hazelnut meal and had a really, really nice taste. Is it my favorite? Hmmm, no but they were tasty and I will definitely eat them again. However, if you are craving pancakes and can't have anything with gluten- these are dang good. Birch Benders will definitely satisfy your pancake craving and you won't get sick!
Stop & Drop Diet
I am on the anti-diet diet this year. I am not going to do anything drastic but I do need to make better choices and make simple changes to my favorite foods. That's exactly what Liz Vaccariello teaches in the Stop & Drop Diet book. The purpose is to STOP eating unhealthy versions of the foods I like and to eat simple and healthier substitutes- whether cooking at home, restaurants, or frozen food aisle. I am really, really, really excited to see how much of this I can bring to my life and make some simple choices. I have been making simple swaps and have been seeing results. I am excited to see how much more I can drop in pounds and see my health improve.
Are you working on your health this year?
Do you use any of these products?
Which of these would you like to try?
