Easy Holiday Hosting Tips

It has arrived! What is IT?  Holiday season!

From here until New Year's Day, it is nonstop and wild.  It can be stressful but with planning and finding ways to make life a little easier- it doesn't have to be stressful.

With Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Year's right around the corner there will be tons of potlucks at work, work parties, hosting dinners, attending dinners, and more happening.  Will you be hosting any holiday gatherings? Here are some tips to make hosting a tad bit easier!

1.  Disposable cups/plates/cutlery/napkins

NOBODY wants to do a ton of dishes after hosting a gathering.  Buying nice disposable dishes you can still have a nice gathering and less clean up afterwards.

2.  Beverage Station

Designate a station with a variety of beverages for self-service.  Have a bin with ice full of sodas, bottled water, iced tea, etc. and allow guests to grab their own drinks.  I love to grab Coca-Cola® Mini Cans, for entertaining which are the perfect size when you want a little pick-me-up during a party!  And, I stock up on Dasani® water to make sure everyone stays hydrated.

Extra tip:  Grab club packs of drinks at Sam's Club at a great price!   You can even order ahead and pickup in the store using Club Pickup for an even easier shopping experience (which I LOVE! Such a life and time saver).  Grab these beverages and all your holiday goods at Sam's Club:

Coca-Cola® Mini Cans (7.5oz, 30 pack)
Sprite® Mini Cans (7.5oz, 30 pack)
Gold Peak® Sweet Tea (18.5oz, 18 pack)
Dasani® (16.9oz, 32 pack)
Diet Coke® (12oz, 35 pack)

3. Snacks

Create veggie, cheese, meat, cracker, and/or fruit platters.  There is nothing easier (or tastier!) than any one of these platters.  Keeps guests happy while waiting for the main course!

4.  Make ahead

Make as much of the meal ahead of time as you can.  There is nothing more stressful than last minute cooking.

5.  Recycle bins

Set up recycle bins for empty bottles, cans, and any disposable items that can be recycled.
