Who doesn't love the holiday season? From Halloween to New Year's Day, it's back to back holidays full of celebrations.  I just love this entire period or time.  Sure, it's crazy busy but it's well worth every second of it.

This season has brought us another year of performing in the Nutcracker.  It's extra special to me due to the fact that I thought Emma would never be able to dance.  Sure, she is unable to arabesque due to physical limitations but she is able to wear a costume and be a part of a full costume production.

Small Holiday Gathering Ideas

The holiday season is absolutely magical, stressful and exhausting all in one.  Calendars are packed, kids have a ton of events, holiday shopping, gatherings, work parties, traveling, gift shopping, decorating, yada yada yada.  Like I said- magical, stressful AND exhausting.

I am an introvert and the large gatherings completely drain me.  I love hosting a fun gathering- whether it's for Christmas, New Year's, births, promotions, etc,  for a small group of friends as a way to just celebrate it together.

I try to make small gatherings as easy as possible without cutting corners.

Mushroom Onion Slow Cooker Pork Chops

If you have been foll;owing me on Instagram and Facebook, then you have seen my car after a lovely accident I got into the Monday before Thanksgiving.  It was 1000% my fault and I am kicking myself- over and over and over.  It was Monday AM, driving into work and the holidays and the short work week was on my mind (both a blessing AND a curse).  I was at a stop light and was looking at something in my passenger seat when I heard a honk and noticed vehicles driving in my peripheral vision.  I rushed, looked up and accelerated... and stopped, rapidly.  Not soon enough.

I am seriously on a glitter kick.  Maybe it's all about sparkling through this life because not only am I obsessed with glitter but also with sparkling water.  When I tried some of the crazy amazing SodaStream Sparkling Drink Mixes with the SodaStream Power Automatic Sparkling Water Maker, I felt an overwhelming desire to make some sparkling, glittery glasses.

5 Reasons to have a family game night

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Spin Master Games. All opinions are 100% mine.

I grew up in a large family of nine kids.  We didn't have much money growing up and every Christmas, gifts were limited but the one one gift that I always remember is the family gift.  On Christmas eve, there was always ONE gift under the tree and that was a gift to the entire family.  I vividly remember feeling the excited anticipation and wondering WHAT it was! Each year, it was ALWAYS a board game or another game of some sort.  Whatever it was, it was something we had a ton of fun playing as a family.  We argued, we cried, we accused each other of cheating, and laughed, we drank cocoa and played for hours on end.

Over Thanksgiving weekend, my daughter, sister, brother and I had a fun family game night in along with Thanksgiving dinner.  We played the HILARIOUS game Quelf.
