About

Welcome to my little blog.  My name is Jaime and I am so glad you are here and I really would love it if you stayed awhile.  I love reading your comments and I do my best to reply.

I'm just an average single mom.   I do not have an exciting resume, exciting passport or huge bank account.  However, what I do have a love of my life, my daughter, recipes, coffee (hellooo!! it's the nectar of the gods!) movies, TV, and trying to enjoy what life and the desert has to offer.

I love bringing forth recipes and ideas I have.  I am not the most creative but I love the most simple and tasteful flavors.

I occasionally talk about my daughter but it's limited on how much I put her on here since she is getting older and her privacy and rights are extremely important.  She doesn't understand what happened and how she became brain damaged and I leave it at that.  Her prognosis was unknown at the time of injury and now that she is a preteen, the severity of the brain damage is showing.  She is my light, my joy, my heart and everything I have in this world.  In case you can't tell, I really love her silly and frustrating ways.

So... just stick around. Read my shenanigans, make a recipe (if you love it or hate it- let me know!  I am always learning and am happy with constructive criticism!).  I am not a professional cook (I work in healthcare! Haha) and am just trying to figure it all out!

  10. Hey :-) That twitter conversation was so awesome I had to come and leave you a comment here. My network isn't all that broad, in the grand scheme of things, but it's deep -- which means that a lot of the people who follow my blogs and my twitter accounts actually talk back to me.

Here's how you get out of Twitter jail. Have ManageFlitter show you all the people you are following who aren't following back. It won't show you the dates you followed them, but it will show you the order you followed them in. Start at the bottom of the list and unfollow 20-30 people per day for a week. That will get you back to the point you can follow people in no time.

Really, 10 days to 2 weeks is about as long as you should wait for a followback. If someone hasn't followed you back in that time, they are either not minding their account, or decided they don't want to follow you.

Once you get your following/follower ratio back in order, follow some people from those lists I added you to, tweet with me occasionally, and let's just see what happens.

@parttimemonster is my sister, and she has her own blog. @quaintjeremy is my comics guru, and he contributes at least one piece per day to the blog. @justgeneo is my personal account. I'm not growing it, it's purpose is to prove that there's a real person behind @sourcererblog, and sometimes I use it to send messages to collaborators.

    What is your Etsy shop?

ps. I also love washi tape, but never know what to do with it. So I just admire it on the shelves of stores.
