Let's be honest- a vacuum, apron, or a mixer is not my idea of a gift unless it's a housewarming, bridal, etc. kind of gift. All those items say is how much more you want mom to work. Okay. Maybe it's just me but I think that gifts for Mother's Day (Christmas, Valentine's, birthdays, etc.) should be frivolous and in my case, geeky.
