With a show of hands, who reading here today loves Marvel? Oh right.  I can't see you but it's all good because I know in my heart, you are totally Marvel fans, amiright? Okay.  I won't exaggerate tooooo much but I kinda-sorta love all superheroes from ALL the 'verses besides Marvel.

Also... we are suckers for a fun game and movie Friday night.


Since the newest Fantastic Four is going to be in theaters on August 7th (Who else is geeking out besides me?!), figured it was high time to have a Fantastic Friday Night In!



There are FOUR things every FANTASTIC Friday Night In MUST have.


1.  Games

Games always make for a fun night in.

There's nothing like friendly rivalry mixed with critical thinking, teaching patience, laughing and just having a fun time.


Especially if it's a theme night.



2.  Movies

Who doesn't love a movie marathon? I know I do.  

We especially love when a new movie is coming out in a specific Universe/Franchise or it's a reboot (like the new Fantastic Four!), to watch all the preceding movies to get EXTRA hyped about the newest film coming out!


3.  PJs (or fun, comfy clothes)

Who wants to wear stuffy clothes for a fun night in? Not us.  Wearing something comfortable (especially PJs) makes it extra fun and if you fall asleep on the couch or floor? No biggie!



4.  Food.  Duh.

I know I don't need to explain this one.  Right? What Fantastic Friday Night in is complete without food? None. None at all.

I made a General Tso's sauce that turned Tyson Any'Tizers® Honey BBQ Boneless Wyngz into a Chinese dish.  The Honey BBQ Boneless Wyngz are like The Thing- A rare breed of brawn and heart, Ben Grimm is warm, even sensitive, despite his rough-and-tumble upbringing. He is rock-solid—in more ways than one. A loyal and protective friend, his stone body gives him epic strength and makes him virtually indestructible


It also made a GREAT dip for Tyson Any'Tizers® Chicken fries.  They're like Mr. Fantastic- Reed Richards is a scientific prodigy who has been quietly exploring the universe's deepest mysteries in his garage, after school. After being transformed by one of his experiments, he can stretch his body into impossible forms and to incredible lengths.


This dip is easy, delicious, versatile and a wee bit spicy.  It was PERFECT.

General Tso's Sauce:

3 tbsp water
3 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegae
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp honey
2 tbsp sweet chili sauce (you can decrease the amount or just use sugar or orange marmalade in place of it)
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp sesame oil
2 minced garlic cloves
1 tsp minced ginger


Garnish: Toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

1. Combine all ingredients up to the sesame oil in a bowl and mix until cornstarch is dissolved.
2. Add sesame oil to a small sauce pan and turn heat on medium.  Add garlic and ginger and saute until just turning golden.  
3.  Add sauce to the garlic/ginger and heat until sauce boils and thickens.  
4.  Serve as a dip or pour over cooked chicken.  Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
